Description
Refectori restaurant at Hotel Convent de la Missió in the old town of Palma, offers creative, seasonal cuisine in a select, minimalist environment which includes an artistic water feature in the enclosed patio with palm trees. One of the hotel guests wrote: 'This restaurant is decorated in a minimalist style, but the flavours of its cuisine are truly maximalist.' Apart from its varied 'a la carte' menu, there is also a five-course Tasting Menu with aperitif and petit fours on offer and a range of carefully selected wines to complement every meal. Refectori also offers special menus for groups, company dinners, weddings and events.
Directions
Coming down the Ramblas with Plaza Mayor behind you, turn right into C/Horts (there is a Pharmacy on the corner). At the end of the road (you will see a flight of stairs) turn right into C/Missio. A few metres down you will see two large flowerpots at the entrance of Hotel Convent de la Missió on your right.

The old monastery Convent de la Missio (XVII century) is located in the Old Town of Palma next to the church with the same name. Surrounded by narrow streets and gardened patios, it was once dedicated to the education of missionaries, but is now a luxurious hotel. There are 14 private rooms, some with large terraces, and all equipped with heating/air-conditioning, telephone, TV, minibar and modern well-appointed bathroom.

Convent de la Missio Hotel includes common areas, lobby, refectory, chapel, bar, restaurant, wine cellar, patio, solarium, whirlpool, sauna, relaxing room and art gallery to make guests' stay most pleasant.

We begin with…
Chickpea stew with duck gizzard and cockerel crests, and Iberian ham foam; Cream of toasted bread with Majorcan sausage noodles and foie gras; Creamed cod quinoa with seasonal baby vegetables in black olive tempura; Majorcan stew salad with scallop glazed in red butter and toasted corn dust.

We continue with…
Fish - Cantabrian brochette with stewed cuttlefish, glazed wild garlic; Fish of the day with dried tomatoes, green olives and vegetable couscous; Squid stuffed with prawns and vegetables, served with black truffle juice and salted pine nut praline.

Meats - Caramelised shoulder of lamb with honey juice on a bed of puffed wheat and sweet aubergines; Loin of venison, beetroot and bacon dust with onion terrine, quinoa and raisins; Sirloin to order

We finish with…
Warm banana crunch with almond soup and citrus jelly; White chocolate and tea soup, chocolate sponge cake and milk chocolate and hazelnut mousse; Pastry filled with orange cream, with mint jelly
Other facilities
Groups of up to 20 dining guests can be accommodated in the restaurant. For any type of celebration or company event there is a private room in the large gallery with space for up to 70 people. Set menus start at €65 per person. Tasting menu €75 per person. Wine & drinks not included in the price. Please, if you can, reserve at least a week in advance.
Wine list
An extensive and carefully selected wine list by the maitre, Lorenza Prieto (Zamor, 1970). There are over 140 different wines on the list which includes wines from Mallorca and from the famous wine-producing regions in Spain. Sparkling wines (Cavas) & Champagnes: Torrello, Bollinger, La Cuvée Belle Epoque.

Red wines from the Wine of Origin regions of Emporda, Mentrida, Navarra, Penedes, Ribera del Duero, La Rioja, Somontano and Toro.
